Mahjong Mania Deluxe is a highly customizable mahjong game. It has a simple and not very attractive user interface, but the game itself can be fully customized. It provides five different tile sets, 9 good backgrounds, 6 pieces of music, and many many boards to play with. You can also select a particular theme and the tiles; background, and music will be selected accordingly. Among the available themes you will find tropico, peaceful island, kids, ancient Egypt, among others. Some of the tiles are really funny and nice, but others are very difficult to distinguish. You can play in full screen or windowed mode, as well as enable/disable the music or sound effects from the settings menu. You can select to play with on-screen hints, which show you the available matches. There´s even an option that hides the unplayable tiles, which makes the game much easier. However, there is no undo or reshuffle option, so if you run out of available matches, you will have to start a game from scratch. There are boards of different difficulty levels and number of tiles, and you can also create your own one. The game can be paused and saved, and there is no time limit to complete them. All in all, Mahjong Mania Deluxe is a good option for those who would like to play a mahjong game in their own way.
