Macu Test is the new application for Mac OS X designed to measure the performance of a Mac.
Macu Test measures the performance of both the processor and the memory, in several different ways, to try to obtain a global performance score.
To achieve this goal, it includes both intensive integer and floating-point calculation tests, tests that measure cache and memory performance, tests with a lot of branches and function calls, multithreaded tests, and tests that make use of vector extensions (Altivec/Velocity Engine).
