MacDjView offers a solution for viewing DjVu types of formats. DjVu is a document format similar to PDF in many ways but superior for its high compression ratio. If you work with scanned documents on a regular basis, then DjVu is most likely the format of choice and MacDjView should provide the basic means of reading this document type. The application is in its early development stages and still has room for improvement.
With this tool I was able to open different types of DjVu files: with and without images. In both scenarios, no text or image selection or copy was possible. MacDjView at this stage focuses on displaying DjVu content rather than interacting with it like other similar applications. It does however have an intuitive interface with buttons available for browsing through the document. Also, you can change the page layout to either single or continuous as well as rotate the document (left and right).
Since the DjVu format is all about high quality image and text contents, MacDjView offers users zoom in and out functions in order to explore all of the document's fine prints.
Hotkey support is available for quickly arranging the document to the window size: fix page, actual size, fit width, stretch.
MacDjView is intuitive to use but it runs short of features at this stage. Users cannot perform searches within opened documents or select and copy sections of text.
