Mac Pilot is a system maintenance and customization tool. The application allows you to customize and maintain your system using a graphical user interface instead of the terminal. Mac Pilot does not only allow you to change system settings, it also supports other Apple apps and third-party ones. For example, you can use it to disable the dashboard or its ripple effect, but you can also use it to change settings in Adium, if you have it installed.
At the top of the screen, you will see all the categories. Each category houses different system settings that you can change. The available categories are: General, Disks, Network, Login Items, Startup, Spotlight, Power, Logs, Tools, and File Browser. There are tons and tons of options under each category. For example, the power category allows you to reduce the processor speed, wake on modem ring, wake when power source is change, etc. And you can even add events to further customize your system.
Under the General screen, I found the "Popular" sub-section quite useful. I found a couple tweaks that I had wondered about in the past. One thing that I did was change the screenshot format from PNG to JPG, and the change was done instantly. I tested it and it worked. The rest of the settings should work just as well.
