Mac Notepad organizes all of your notes in one place. This lightweight program allows you to quickly jot down all the thoughts that are going through your head in a very organized fashion. You are in charge of creating categories of the notes and notes within that category. The program supports drag-and-drop feature, so you can just drag the the text file you need to edit. It also supports images, but it does not support videos.
There are couple of features of this program that are worth mentioning. First of all, the notes can be password protected. In a way, you can use this program as your diary, though, only much-much organized diary. Second of all, the program supports spell checking and advanced search. This type of search allows you to use special symbols for OR and AND and so on operators. It is worth mentioning that the text within a note can be modified to be in different colors or fonts and with some additional text effects, like strike-through and underlining. So it's everything for your creativity.
The program is 10 dollars more expensive than I would expect from such set of the features. It doesn't support reminders or pop-up windows (miniaturized interface), which would be quite convenient and would make this program worth the 20 dollars.
