Mac Flight Planner is (as the name implies) a flight planning application. In fact, Mac Flight Planner (MFP) is the only flight planning application for Mac OS X for use in real world aviation. All other flight planners on Mac OS X require the X-Plane database are are designed for use with that simulator. While X-Plane is, in my opinion, the greatest flight simulator going, Scolebrook think you'll agree that it's database can't be relied upon for real world aviation around the world.
