Developed by Sindre Sorhus, Lungo is a simple application that runs in your Mac's menu bar and prevents the OS from going into sleep or dim mode. Depending on how you've configured the app, it can go to sleep, start the screensaver, or keep the Mac awake.
The app's UI runs in Mac's menu bar, so its look it's rather minimalist. Its main menu consists of a few tabs, properly arranged and equipped with various configurations. There are no customization options, but the buttons respond very well to user commands and the menu navigation is intuitive.
As you've probably figured it out yourself, Lungo uses very few system resources. It can be configured to start at launch, thus eliminating unnecessary mouse clicks.
The app has a built-in countdown that can be activated with a mouse click. Once toggled on, it will show a window with a timer that displays the remaining time until your Mac falls asleep.
All things considered, Lungo is a nice tool for configuring your Mac's screen. However, it does require a small amount of money in order to use its full version.
