Living Earth Desktop is a screensaver and wallpaper, that allows you to have a real-time view of our planet through an interactive map. It basically shows a map of the Earth, that displays cloud changes in real time, as well as time zones for cities of your choice, plus weather conditions for all cities in the world. It is possible to see from the desktop the cycles of the day, and also the weather conditions for your home city and places of your interest. And if you live in the U.S., the program can show you the weather forecasts for up to seven days.
When launched, the application stays in your system tray, allowing you to manage the screensaver from a context menu. You can set it as the default screensaver, and also use the map as wallpaper with the same characteristics already mentioned. From the options dialog you can configure some features for example, change the Earth background, view your favorite cities, and more.
Unfortunately, the features available in the trial version are so limited that it is impossible to appreciate all that this application has to offer. Besides, there is a nag screen and a trial notice showing up constantly.
