Analyze linear elements and create finite linear designs with the utility supporting an integrated modeler, a multi-threaded solver, and a graphical post-processor. It analyzes dynamic response and vibration, heat flows and thermal stress of solids when connected to DC current flow.
LISA is an excellent application that allows you to create and solve different types of models including static, thermal, modal vibration and response, dynamic response, buckling, fluid, D.C. current flow, magnetostatic, electrostatic, and acoustic problems. Depending on the analysis type, you can use different configurations to create your model (1D, 2D, Axisymmetric, and 3D) and solve the problem.
You can create your own model or load a model file of any of the supported formats (supported formats are: LISA XML, Stereolithography, COSMOS, Netgen volume mesh, STEP geometry, and IGES geometry).
The program has two operational modes: the modeler, where you construct your model and the post processor shows the problem solved.
To create a model the program includes different tools for working with the nodes, elements, constraints, loads, etc. You can use any of the next system of units: SI, MMGS, FPS, and IPS.
After creating a model you can save it as the default format (LISA XML format) or export it as image, stereolithography (binary or ASCII), and VRML format.
To operate the program you need the Microsoft .Net Framework version 2.0 and XNA Framework 3.1. The Trial version is limited to solve up to 1300 nodes.
