LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original 1.0

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is a very fun video game. It is a LEGO-themed game that puts you in control of LEGO versions of Indiana Jones, his friends and other characters of the first few movies. Although this game was released after the latest Indiana Jones movie, it does not make any reference to that, not even to the crystal skull. This could be considered an action and adventure game. The characters that you control roam around LEGO sets and have to solve a variety of puzzles to pass each level. You will see epic moments from the first movies in some of the levels. For example, you get to be chased by a huge rock down a cave, like in Raiders of the Lost Ark. At another level, you are tasked with picking the holy grail from a variety of similar-looking glasses.

To be honest, this is the first LEGO game that I played on my Mac. I always avoided giving them a try because I thought they were for kids. But when looking for games with good co-operative gameplay and interesting puzzles, this came up, so I went ahead and tried the demo. I was wrong when I thought this was a kiddy game. The story in the game is great, especially if you have seen the movies. There are humorous moments all over the game, and the puzzles are nice, especially if you play with a friend.

LEGO Indiana Jones was released for the PC and for different consoles as well. The game runs great on the Mac, but the $20 price-tag may be too much. I would wait for a sale to get this game.

In short, if you are looking for a game that is fun and easy to play with friends, this is a great one. I have heard that this one is the best LEGO game ever. It is a great thing that there is a demo available.
