Leawo Mac DVD to iPad Converter is a commercial DVD ripper. It can be used to convert your DVD movies into video formats that can be played by your iPad. The available output formats are H.264, MPEG-4 and MOV, all of which play great on the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Apple TV and on any modern computer.
The first step is to load your DVD movie. When you do that, a list of all the DVD titles that make up your movie will be listed. You can convert them all or select which ones you want to convert. If all you want to do is convert the main movie, and discard everything else, you will want to select the longest title. In my case, I always test these apps with TV show DVD discs, which come with three episodes per disk. Thus, I select the biggest three titles. At the bottom of the screen, you can select what format you want to convert the titles to. There are three profiles for the iPad. One uses MPEG-4 and the other two, H.264. There is even an HD profile, which might come in handy if you want to use the TV-out feature.
In short, this is a nice ripper. It has a great interface, it works well and it is easy to use.
