Korean Flashcards is a Korean vocabulary learning tool. As its name suggests, it replicates the use of Flashcards to methodically learn and practice your Korean vocabulary. The full version of this application comes with 6200 Korean words, while the "BASIC" version, which serves as a trial, lets you practice with 170 words. Both versions of the app look identical, but the number of words in the lessons change.
The graphical user interface consists of three panes. The pane on the left lets you access the different types of exercise and manage and view word lists and the help files. The right pane shows the actual exercises. There are four kinds of them: Word, Meaning, Spelling and Listening. The first mode shows you a Korean word and you have to select the matching meaning from a list of possible words. The meaning mode shows you an English word, and you have to find the matching Korean word. In Spelling, you are shown an English word, and you have to type the word in Korean. There is a virtual keyboard that you can use if your physical keyboard isn't configured for Korean input. And, lastly, Listening lets you hear pronunciation of a Korean word and your goal is to select the matching meaning. Each mode has a number of words that you can test your knowledge with and you can change this number from the settings. The bottom pane shows the current word file opened and the size of the learning list, the number of words and the number of completed word exercises.
In short, Korean Flashcards can be a good way to learn some Korean words, especially if you already know the basics.
