KillDock is a program designed to enable/disable the Mac OS X Dock. It was created in response to cinnabar, an old school unixteer who wanted to disable the Dock. Through reverse engineering, it was discovered that the Dock can be disabled by sending the WindowServer a signal 9. It was also found that if the Dock is spawned a certain number of times within a certain amount of time, it will stop respawning, thus disabling it.
