Kid's Typing Skills is a typing tutor for kids. It teaches kids how to use the keyboard, a very needed skill nowadays, due to the increasing role of computers in every human activity. Through simple lessons, aided by sounds, the program will train kids to use the keyboard correctly. The "Learn Keyboard" choice will show the kids the keyboard keys, telling them the name of the rows, the starting position, and the fingers they must use to press each key. "Keyboard Practice" will ask kids to press certain keys three times, playing a sound when they press the correct key, and another sound when they don´t. "Character Drill" will ask them to press random-picked characters. You can choose which rows you want to practice by checking corresponding boxes in the menu. In the "World Drill" option, children will have to type some complete words. You can also choose which rows you want them to practice. In "Timed Drill", the kids are free to type whichever text they want. The program will measure the typing speed in characters per minute.
