The developers of K9-PC Protector claim that this program can protect your system from multiple types of threats coming from ill-intentioned software, such as password stealers, adware, browser hijackers, keyloggers and Trojans. The application has a nice tabbed interface, which makes it very easy to use. The utility needs to connect to the Internet to keep its malware database updated.
The tool supports three types of scan, which have different scopes and take different times to complete. In this regard, a quick scan is the fastest but also the shallowest while the deep scan examines your system in more detail and necessarily takes much longer. A third type allows to perform a customized scan to the selected system areas and folders. Whenever a threat is found, it is automatically sent to quarantine, from which it can do no harm. Fortunately, scans can be scheduled to be done at regular intervals.
The funniest thing about K9-PC Protector is that this program has a dubious reputation. It is said that some antivirus scanners have detected possibly dangerous code in this application. To make things even worse, the product installer has been reported as bundling other unwanted software.
