Just Cause 2 is an action-filled third-person shooter. It takes place in a fictional island formation in South Asia. You are a CIA agent who is sent there to complete a few missions. Most of the game has you completing certain types of missions both for the CIA and for local factions. When you complete a mission, or rather, when you go to certain new places to complete missions, you unlock new areas, where you can get new missions.
The game is of the sandbox type. You have a very large open area that you can roam freely. You can use water, land and air vehicles to move around. These vehicles can be acquired with the credits that you get for completing missions or wreaking havoc. You can also buy and upgrade your weapons. The most fun element of the game in my opinion is your ability to utterly destroy most of the things that you see. Parachuting off a plane, landing and shooting a gas deposit up with a Gatling machine gun is simply amazing.
The story of the game is not its forte. Most of the dialogs sound cheesy and don't make much sense. The game is, in all honesty, about killing as many bad guys as you can while making it look like a Michael Bay movie. The graphics are very good and look like a map in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Physics has a big role in the game. Flying through the air and shooting stuff up should obey the laws of physics in some way. The result is a game that is fun to play, but that doesn't have a story line that will keep you coming back for more, for long.
