JoraChess 14.5

JoraChess allows you to play chess, one of world's most famous board games, against the computer. Once the program has been downloaded and installed, you won’t require Internet connection.

The chessboard uses full screen mode and its window size cannot be adjusted. For a new game, you can choose the color of the pieces but you cannot select the level of difficulty. When a game has begun you should be careful when making any move because you cannot take it back. The replay function is not included, but you can use the Hint feature to let the computer suggest you the next move.

The program doesn't include the time control feature so there is no time limit per move. Also you can switch pieces to play with the opposite color and save the current game at any time. You can also load a game that has been previously played.

Each row (rank) of the board is denoted with numbers 1 to 8, and each column (file) is denoted with letters a to h. With the history feature you can see move by move and the pieces that have been captured but they are not displayed visually.

When a game has finished, the program will show the Checkmate message on the Game Status box.
