Joboshare iPod Video Converter is a shareware video converter. It can be used to convert your video files so that you can play them on your Apple iPod. There are many models supported, included the iPod Touch, iPod Classic, and the whole lineup of the iPhone. Basically, the application outputs video in MPEG-4 and H.264, so any device that can play those formats will be able to play files converted using this app.
This converter doesn't come with a video editor built in. However, it does come with a trimming feature, which allows you to select a segment of a video for conversion. To do that, you simple have to select the start point and the end point, and the app will do the rest.
In my testing, I converted an MKV file into the iPod Touch H.264 profile. The file was 55 seconds long and the conversion process was relatively quick, taking 30 seconds in total. The quality of the output was OK. Of course, it wasn't as sharp as the HD file, but it was playable and I didn't notice any problems in its video or audio tracks.
In short, Joboshare iPod Video Converter works just fine, but it lacks most features commonly found in competing apps.
