This program is more than its name implies. Besides helping you recover lost or deleted photos from your PC and various external storage devices, this application is also capable of restoring missing videos and audio files from the selected drives or media gadgets.
Jihosoft Photo Recovery comes with a user-friendly interface, immediately scans the selected drives or external storage devices, and allows you to preview the found data before launching the recovery process. Furthermore, it organizes the found files into categories, based on file format.
Once the scanning process is complete, you can filter the results based on file size. You can also preview the found images and select multiple files for the recovery process.
However, that's all you can do if you're using the trial version of the application. To be more exact, you cannot recover any of the found files until you register the program. So, you can't be 100% sure that the app is actually capable of restoring the lost files and the recovered data is intact.
Another disadvantage is the fact that the app lacks a built-in search utility which might come in handy if you want to immediately restore a certain lost file. Also, you cannot save scan results for later.
In my opinion, you should look for a different file recovery app. You can find dozens of other programs that help you restore lost data on your PC, provide you with more features, and work 100%.
