JamStation is an online radio program that lets you stream songs from the Jamendo website, a music sharing service. You can work with this application instead of using your default browser to discover and listen to new music from the aforementioned webpage.
The utility features a nicely-designed interface that looks like a pocket player device. You can switch between multiple channels, mark your favorite songs, and control the player with shortcut keys. Furthermore, you can adjust the sound volume by using Up or Down keys, without altering the system noise level.
Each channel provides you with a certain music genre, from Rock and Jazz to Classical and Pop. After you mark a song as a Favorite and double-click the tune, the app lets you access detailed information regarding the tune in your default browser.
My only issue with this program is that it doesn't preserve the Favorite list after shutting down. The Favorite list is automatically cleared as soon as you close the application.
Other than that, not much more can be said about this utility. It gives you access to independent music of various genres, is very simple to handle, and comes without a price tag. So, in my opinion, it's worth giving it a try, especially if you're a music enthusiast.
