iTool DVD to AVI Converter is a commercial DVD ripper. The app allows you to convert DVD movies into video files that you can later play on your Mac or any other multimedia-capable device. The supported output formats are H.264, XviD, and DivX. Those formats are the most popular ones for video these days, so chances are that any modern device will play them.
Graphically, this ripper doesn't look any different than the other hundreds of commercial rippers out there. Its graphical user interface consists of a toolbar at the top, some space for your conversion queue below that, a video player on the right, and the conversion settings at the bottom. The color scheme used is pleasant, so points go out for that.
In terms of performance, the application converted my DVD movie in a reasonable time and the file looked good. You can change some conversion settings if you click on "Settings", at the bottom of the screen.
In short, this is just another commercial rippers. It works well, but it lacks some features that you can find in other commercial rippers, such as a video editor and GPU acceleration.
