iThoughts is intended to help you organize ideas, support brainstorming and present your proposals. It is a mind-mapping application that allows creating visual representations of concepts or thoughts and the relationships among them in the form of spider diagrams. The tool’s interface is not very different from those of other similar apps. It has a minimalistic design, so it will not compete with your ideas.
Fortunately, you do not need to start from scratch because iThoughts comes with various templates. In this regard, it allows using four map layouts, which are Horizontal, Vertical, Top Down and Fishbone, as well as four styles. What is more, it also has multiple canvas colors and patterns as well as a great library of icons and images.
Most of the work is based on dragging and dropping elements to the desired position, an approach which is both easy and fast. In this respect, you can add various types of elements, including shapes, notes, images and lines. Moreover, it is excellent that it lets you attach other elements by creating links to PDF files, for instance.
Unlike other mind-mapping products, iThoughts does not get stuck when the map reaches a considerable dimension. Besides, it allows exporting to a large array of document and picture formats, including JPP, PDF, HTML, PPTX, DOCX and CSV.
All in all, iThoughts is a great mind-mapping tool with an impressive set of features that help increase your productivity and reach a wider audience. As to its downsides, the developer alerts that it cannot synchronize file types other than ITMZ when using Dropbox, but this is just a small problem. The product is fortunately available to try, so I strongly recommend you see if it works for you.
