iStonsoft PDF to Image Converter is a tool that lets you convert your PDF files into a variety of image formats. Some of the popular formats supported are BMP, JPG, TIFF, PNG and GIF. Apparently, some people prefer browsing PDF files after they have converted them to images. This can be the case when the user wants to put the PDF files on a website. Most web browsers support viewing PDF files, but older ones don't. Most of them can manage images as the developer of this app states on the website. It should be noted, though, that when you convert a PDF file to images, you will lose the ability to edit and copy texts.
You can load one or multiple files or simply select a folder containing PDF files to convert them all at once. With your files loaded, you can click on them to select the page range. By default, the entire document will be converted, but you can specify what pages you want to convert. You can select single pages or page ranges on the list.
To test the app, I loaded a 10-page e-book that was a text-only document. The app converted it in less than 5 seconds and the resulting image files were crisp and readable. Their size was around 300 kilobytes.
