iSpectrum is an easy-to-use analyzer developed by End Productions. It is mainly used for analyzing live audio performance. The users can choose between seeing the audio spectrum in the waterfall window or the oscilloscope window, and each of them can be further set up, individually. At any time, the users can pause the analyzer and take screenshots for further analysis or comparing. As a source for the sound, the Mac users are allowed to choose between built-in input, built-in microphone and EasyConnectAudio. Also, you can choose what channel to analyze, when dealing with multiple audio channels.
The bandwidth can be altered and covers frequencies between 0,6 and 23,8 kilohertz. Also, based on the selected bandwidth, the users can modify the center frequency. The customization of the tool is poor to non-existent. The page setup menu allows the users to make some quick changes upon the layout, format and paper size of the page to be printed. In my testing, the program quit unexpected a few times, so I find this version to be buggy and requires more development.
All taken into consideration, iSpectrum is a free and easy-to-use tool for analyzing audio specters; however, I find this version unreliable and non-customizable, so it requires further development.
