This app is the fourth installment in the Island Tribe game series developed by Realore, where your objective is to help the shaman return to his old self (as a pirate) by breaking a wicked curse. This game sequel is filled with numerous challenges, brings nicely-drawn graphics and animations, and is suitable for users of all ages.
After you create a player profile and choose the proper gameplay mode, a prologue will be displayed showing some nice artwork and a summary of the storyline so far (from previous installments). Your goals will be different from one mission to another, and you will always have access to gameplay instructions (you can disable the hints from the Options menu).
Furthermore, you can toggle full-screen or windowed mode, adjust the sound volume accordingly, and restart levels if necessary.
Another good aspect is that you can create as many player profiles as you want. I also like the fact that you can change the gameplay mode (Hard, Normal, Easy, and No Time) between missions.
To summarize, Island Tribe 4 is an entertaining and addictive strategy game that can keep you in front of your Mac for hours. Plus, the app comes with a very reasonable price tag.
