iSkysoft iPod Movie Converter is a commercial video converter. It allows you to convert video files of various formats into formats that the iPod can natively play, such as MPEG-4, H.264 and MP4 AVC for video and MP3, M4A, and AAC for audio. The application can open and convert a ton of different formats, including DivX, XviD, MP4, MKV, FLV, AVI, MOV, TS, VOB and 3GP, among others.
I will start by saying that this converter works very well, it has a good design and great format support. Let me just tell you what I like about it. First, at $29, it packs more features than most other iPod converters out there. It has a video editor which allows you to add some effects to your videos, a video trimmer and a cropper. You would be surprised to see how many developers have converters that don't have a simple trimmer and cost $10 more than this app. Second, there are conversion profiles for different iPod models, including the Video, Touch, Nano, and Classic.
Perhaps the only feature missing from this converter is subtitles support. But that would be asking for too much.
All in all, iSkysoft iPod Movie Converter works really well and it is one of the most affordable commercial converters out there. Of course, if you are into saving money, get the all-purpose converter by iSkysoft or try one of the many free alternatives.
