iovsoft Video Converter is a commercial video converter. It allows you to convert your files between a variety of formats, including DivX, XviD, H.264, MPEG-4, MOV, ASF, MKV, RM, and FLV, among others. The application doesn't come with a video editor, which is a feature commonly found on commercial video converters. It does let you trim your videos by specifying the start and end times. As far as format support goes, this converter supports the most popular formats, both as input and output.
Graphically, the application has a very simple interface, which looks like many others out there. It is rather generic. There is a small pane at the bottom where you can choose your conversion format or profile, a video player, and a toolbar at the top.
In my testing, I added an MKV file and trimmed it to a 1-minute clip. I converted that clip to an H.264 file, using the HD AppleTV profile. I then clicked on "Start". I gave the app 10 minutes and it said it converted 1.97% of the file. That is incredibly slow, even absurdly slow. So, I figure there must be something wrong with the trimmer. So, I converted a smaller file without trimming. The file was also 1 minute long, and it converted just fine in under 2 minutes.
