Investar is a software program developed with the intent to help analysts, investors or traders to perform technical analysis on the Indian Market stocks and keep track of capital gains. It also helps users to better manage financial situations or taxes.
After completing a straightforward installation process, the end user discovers a complex interface, filled with numerous toolbars -full of small button icons-, charts, and other advanced options. Thus, while navigating through the menu, users may feel that the interface is overcrowded.
When it comes to functionalities, Investar offers users various tools for performing technical analysis, starting with an Auto-update feature for EOD&Live Market Data.
Furthermore, it provides more than 65 technical indicators and 35 drawings for completing the technical analysis. Also, it supports importing of stocks and F&Q transactions from online brokers straight into the program's main window.
With Investar, users can carry out over 190 technical and fundamental scans, keep track of Short and Long Term Capital Gains and get advice from the built-in Expert Advisor.
In conclusion, Investar is a decent solution to use in stock market analysis, though the interface may be confusing for novice users and the use of system memory is too high.

- In multi window layout with synchronize view mode, deleting a view from any window caused other window’s views to change unnecessarily.
- Sometimes Investar was hanging if someone tried to add drawing in an area having log scale with indicator like “Stochastic RSI”.
- In multi window layout with synchronize view mode, clicking on "Remove All indicator(s)" from one window sometimes caused the Indicator to be removed from all windows but buy/sell signals would incorrectly remain the same.
- Sometimes scan alerts were not in proper order after restarting Investar.
- Double-clicking on “Hide Sidebar” button would cause Investar to crash.
