InfinaDyne CD/DVD Diagnostic, formerly called CD-R Diagnostic, is a recovery tool that comes in two editions. The first one can help us recover lost audio, images, and data from CDs/DVDs; while the second one can help us recover lost DVD video files (in addition to the already mentioned types of files) from DVD disks, including Blue-ray DVD, and HD DVD.
The program is quite easy to operate. After we launch this application, it automatically detects all our CD/DVD drivers. We can then select the one that contains the disc we would like to be scanned. The program will start displaying all the elements found on the disc (meanwhile, we can even preview thumbnails of the images found). We can decide which elements we would like to recover and instruct the program to copy them to our hard drive, or another CD/DVD. The program can also perform a custom readability test for any of our discs and visualize disc memory history and a detailed disc map.
CD/DVD Diagnostic is available in English, German, and Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified). There is a free evaluation version that can be tested for two weeks. This trial version is not a fully functional one, that is, we can view the contents of a disc, but we cannot copy them.
