You can play using the keyboard or joystick, and the keys can be completely customized from the Settings menu. You can play a Quick game, in which you select the teams, but not the difficulty level. If you wish to play a bit more professionally, you can select an event, which can be a Tournament, Championship and Finals. I recommend that you first learn how to play in the Training mode, which explains everything step by step.
