ImTOO DVD to iPad Converter is a commercial DVD ripper. It allows you to convert your DVD movies to video files that can be played on the iPad. These files will be encoded using the H.264 and MPEG-4 codecs. These formats are supported by most mobile playback devices out there. The application comes with three conversion profiles for the iPad 1 and one for the iPad 2.
Graphically, this app looks like all other rippers by ImTOO. It has a very nice interface, with a good choice of colors. Every feature is available from the main screen. There is a video player on the bottom-right corner of the screen, and to its left is the conversion format selection menu.
When you load a DVD movie, all the titles that make it up will be displayed. You can then select which ones you want to download, and you can assign a different format to each title. I like the fact that next to each title is an estimate of how big the resulting video file will be.
All in all, ImTOO DVD to iPad Converter is an excellent ripper. It is fast and it produces good results. However, at $35.95 it is a bit expensive, especially considering it is missing some features that other similarly-priced apps have.
