iMoviesoft DVD Ripper is a DVD movie conversion tool that you can use to backup your movies and play them on your Mac or many other multimedia playback devices. The app can load DVD movies from the disc itself, a folder on your hard drive or an ISO or IFO file. Once your movie is loaded, the app will populate a list with all the DVD titles that make it up. You can then select the ones that you want to convert. Usually, in DVD movies, the biggest title is the one that contains the main movie. With TV DVDs, most titles have the same size and each one contains a different episode.
The output format selection menu is located at the bottom of the screen, along with the audio and subtitle track selection menus. The output format support is good, and it includes formats like MPEG-4, H.264, MKV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and M4V. There are conversion profiles for devices made by Apple, gaming consoles like the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and different smartphones. Individual settings for each conversion profile can be changed from the pane on the right. There is a video editor that lets you trim and crop your videos, and you will find a button on the main window that lets you merge all the DVD titles into a single video file, which is great.
