ImaxWebTV is a simple, neat and lightweight application that allows you to play the streams of online TV channels and to listen to the broadcasts of Internet radio stations.
ImaxWebTV supports TV channels from all around the world, but mostly from India and other Asian countries. More than 50 Malayalam stations are supported by default. There are plenty of channels listed for playback by the application, but not all of them actually worked during my testing. This lack of reliability is a hard to ignore disadvantage of this tool, and it’s not even the only one. I was also disappointed by the lack of advanced options, such as the possibility to add the streams of other channels than the listed ones to the playback list.
On the other hand, this application is simple, small and easy-to-use. It neatly organizes the listed stations by their language, country of origin and by their category (news, sports, entertainment, etc.).
To sum it all up, ImaxWebTV could’ve been a nice free tool if all the listed stations could’ve been played. Thus, using this tool feels like a gamble: it might work and play the stream of a channel, or it might just fail at playing a specific station and force you to move on to a different choice.
