iMacsoft iPad Video Converter is a commercial video converter. It can be used to convert your video files so that they can be played on your iPad. As it is the case with other converters I have tried from iMacsoft, this one comes with conversion profiles for the iPad and other Apple devices. From the list of profiles, you will find profiles for the iPad, iPhone 4, iPod Touch and even the AppleTV. All the profiles use H.264 and MPEG-4 to encode video.
The application sports a simple graphical user interface. It is identical to that of the other converters by iMacsoft. It consists of a toolbar at the bottom of the screen, the conversion settings on the left, above that a video player, and on the right, a space for the files in the conversion queue.
I tested this application by converting an MKV file into an H.264 profile. I thought the process was fast and the resulting file looked good on my iPad.
Unfortunately, converters by iMacsoft only include one editing feature, and that is a trimmer. It works well, but most other converters by other brands come with more features for the same price.
There are versions of this app for PowerPC and Intel processors.
