iMacsoft DVD to iPad Converter is a DVD ripper for the Mac. It allows you to rip your DVD movies into formats that can be played by the Apple iPad. This ripper supports two output video formats: H.264 and MPEG-4. Those formats are supported by an array of devices, both made by Apple and other big companies. In fact, despite having iPad in its name, this application also has conversion profiles for iPhones and iPods.
Graphically, the application doesn't look good, but I can't say it looks bad. It has a very plain design that still doesn't manage to look like a native Mac app, but it looks less like a Windows app and that is always good.
This app uses an installation wizard and that is something I don't ever like on Mac. I don't really want to be typing my password every time an app decides to go the Windows way.
In terms of performance and features, this ripper works well and has all the features that you would expect it to have. You can choose which audio and subtitle tracks you want to use, you can trip and crop your video, and there's a preview window. In my testing, I got good results with it.
