iLove BigFile Detector is a simple application that helps you identify large files that take a lot of space on your Mac drive. Therefore, the utility lets you know which are the biggest space wasters so you can act accordingly to solve the problem and consequently, regain valuable disk space for other processes and storing data.
The tool has a clean and intuitive interface, so anyone can use it without difficulty. There is a Normal scanning mode that identifies the top biggest files on a selected folder and a Custom scanning mode that filters the search by file size and extensions. The scan operation takes more or less time depending on the size of the folders or drives selected for scanning. Most of the time, the results are displayed quickly, but you may also experience errors due to crashed scan sessions.
Once the results are displayed, you may expect to be able to filter the identified items by custom criteria like file name, file type, date, or size. Unfortunately, the program lacks these abilities. Furthermore, you can't delete big files from within the application, an option that is available only if upgrading to the pro version.
