iLearn is used to learn IR codes from a remote control. You need to have an iTach unit or an GC-IRL connected to one of the RS232 ports of the GC100 unit. The GC-IRL can also be connected to the Mac using an RS232 to USB adapter (according to the Global Caché support website the Keyspan is not supported).
It lets you start the applications and manuals supplied with your Canon device.
