iJoysoft iPod Transfer Ultimate is a complete iPod backup solution. Like any "iPod Transfer" utility, this application lets you transfer content from and to your iPod without using iTunes. This is great for a variety of reasons, but the most important one for me is that you can use it to put content on your device when you are not on your home computer. Although it says "iPod" on the app's name, it will also work with iPhones.
The graphical user interface is very nice and easy to understand. When you first launch the application, there will be some help on the right pane. After you connect a supported device, you will see a list of the content categories below its name and a summary of the device on the right pane. You can simply check songs or videos that you want to transfer off your device and click on the appropriate button to download them. If you want to put content on the device, you have to click on the "Add files to device" button, and find the file on your computer.
The Ultimate version of this app comes with a DVD ripper and a video converter. This makes it extremely easy to put videos on your device. You simply select the file that you want to add, and the app will take care of the rest.
