iDefrag is a handy application that works as a disk defragmenter and system optimizer. The program offers to rearrange the files on your hard disk in order to improve your system performance and retrieve the needed information in a shorter amount of time.
The utility provides an easy-to-handle interface. Its main window is split into three panels that display the computer volumes to be selected, a color-coded preview of the scanned drive, and, respectively, the detailed report with useful information about blocks and identified files. Therefore, at the end of the defrag operation the tool informs you about the amount of blocks, folders, and files your disk contains. In addition, you are provided with a fragmentation summary and a useful overview of the compressed and uncompressed files. The color-based viewing mode offers a meaningful visual display of file arrangement within the scanned disk. From Preferences, you can set the program to stop defragmentation automatically when temperature exceeds a certain level. In addition, you have the ability to create a boot disk in order to reduce the risk of unexpected file loss.
iDefrag provides multiple defragmentation modes so that you can select the one that better fits your needs. With a defragmented hard drive, you will enjoy a fast running system that performs well, without blockages or errors.
