iCoolsoft MOV Converter for Mac is a video conversion utility that you can use to convert your video files to MOV, which is Apple's favorite format. It plays well on Macs, and on every Apple device. The application can also be used to convert your MOV files to other formats. The list of supported formats is quite extensive. It should be noted that this converter does not restrict the formats that you can open, so you can also use it to convert other types of video.
I carried out two different conversion tasks to test this app. The first one involved the conversion of a 720p MKV file into one of the HD MOV conversion profiles. The process was faster than I expected, and I estimated that the app takes one second to convert one second of video, which isn't bad at all. The resulting file sounded pretty good and the video quality was high. The second test I did was exactly the opposite. I converted a high resolution MOV file into HD H.264. The process was a bit slower, but the end result was just as good. I wasn't able to get the application to recognize the subtitle track of my MKV file, but that seems to be a generalized bug in pretty much all the commercial video converters out there.
