ice Photos Convert Format is a simple application designed to convert photos into image formats. The array of output file types includes BMP, JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG, and TIFF.
The program is different from most converters. The thing that makes it atypical is that it doesn't actually have an interface, as you might expect. The moment you launch the application, a browsing window opens up, inviting you to search for and select the files you intend to convert. Next, you need to determine the location where to store the resulting files in the output format of your choice. Once these steps are completed, the conversion starts automatically, without needing you to press any buttons. When the process is over, the destination folder pops up, letting you inspect the files you've just converted.
Another conversion method implies selecting photos from Finder and choosing ice Photos Convert Format as the tool to open the selected items. Alternatively, you can simply drag-and-drop your files onto the program and select one of the five output formats provided. No matter what mode you decide to use, the conversion process is enabled right away.
This utility offers a straightforward solution to convert photos into the most common image formats. The lack of additional settings makes the tool appealing to users who are looking for a simple conversion tool, or it may be considered a drawback if your conversion needs to include advanced tasks, like photo compression, quality and resolution settings, or saving the files under different names.
