i-Tree Vue is a tool that utilizes freely available National Land Cover Data (NLCD) maps to evaluate the land cover of a community, including tree canopy and the ecosystem services that come with it. It also allows users to simulate the effects of planting scenarios on future benefits. New features enable users to make regional adjustments to canopy and impervious estimates based on recent research. Additionally, the application has a clipping tool that allows users to refine the boundaries of their area of interest from NLCD images. It also offers interactivity with Google Maps.
