htmlXPress is a Perl script to parse web pages before publishing. It allows users to expand user-defined place-holders and macros, remove invisible comments and extra whitespace, and program the script to suit their website. To use htmlXPress, one must copy the configuration file to the HTML source directory, edit it, define macros and search and replace patterns, and specify the output folder. Site-specific settings can be set through different config files in source folders.
