HTML Text Password Lock provides you with a quick and easy solution for protecting text and HTML files on your Mac. This application uses strong encryption algorithms to encrypt your documents, immediately locks the selected files, and provides you with a straightforward interface.
Before encrypting any text or HTML file, you need to go to User/Password panel from the app's interface. There, you need to enter the requested information. Afterwards, you can start entering text content or importing HTML files for encryption.
Once the encryption process is complete, you can double-click over the output files. You will be redirected to a link in your default browser where, in order to unlock the documents, you will need to enter the previously defined username and password.
The application also lets you paste text content from other tools into the Lock Text window. All you need to do is provide a destination folder for the output file and the program will do the rest.
Other than that, not much more can be said about this utility. The one thing I'd add would be an integrated help guide which might come in handy to average computer users (it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to encrypt HTML files).
In conclusion, HTML Text Password Lock proves to be a reliable solution for encrypting HTML and text files on your Mac. The app immediately encrypts the selected files, uses minimum CPU resources, and comes with an affordable price.
