Hexagon Mahjongg is a very complete mahjong game. In this game you must match identical tiles until you clear the board. The only difference form other mahjong games is that Hexagon Mahjongg is played with six-sided tiles instead of four-sided tiles. In order for a tile to be matchable, at least three contiguous sides of the tile must be free, meaning not in contact with another tile. Also, there are certain tiles, like seasons and flowers tiles, which can be paired with any of the members of that group, so they don't need to be exactly the same.

The game includes five modes, namely Classic, Classic Bonus, Adventure, Memory, and QuickMatch. They all have different rules and options that you can find in the help menu of the game.

In addition to this, the game also offers two ways of selecting the tiles layout: Select or Random. The Select option enables you to select exactly the layout you want, while the Random option allows you to pick one of the three collections, and the game will randomly select one layout for each game from the huge library. Regarding the tilesets, you can choose the one you like the most or check the random option and let the game surprise you with a new one each time you play. The same applies for the game backgrounds.

Furthermore, if you get stuck and can't find a match, you can use the hints, which highlight a random pair from the available ones. Also, if you have no more matches to make, you can use the shuffle option which rearranges the tiles. These two options have some time penalties, so you should use them wisely. You also can zoom the tiles in and out to see them exactly the way you want. Throughout the game, you will also encounter different bonus power-up tiles, which help you match the tiles in a easier way and make the game more enjoyable. The only drawback I found is its music, which is very repetitive and annoying.

In short, Hexagon Mahjongg is a very comprehensive mahjong game that will surely satisfy most fans of the solitaire genre.
