Heileen: Sail Away is an interactive fiction game where you go through the pages of a visual novel filled with nicely-drawn animations and a captivating storyline. You get to interact with other characters, complete various quests, and decide the way the story ends.
You play as Heileen, a young girl who embarks on a boat trip to the New World along with her friend Marie, uncle Otto, and the ship's crew. The entire gameplay consists of various dialogues between you and the rest of the characters and your goal is to choose the replies you think are the most suitable for the conversations.
I like the fact that the game can have three different finales, each with a distinct key character of the story. Plus, the more quests you complete (can access the missions list by hitting the Q key), the higher your final score gets.
However, I wouldn't recommend this game to kids since some of its lines might not be suitable for such users.
