A fast paced, aggressive racing game in which you can make use of a variety of weapons to give yourself an edge as you compete to be the first across the finishing line.
Set in an open city, you can drive around and explore as you search for the next race. The races themselves come in a number of forms, such as circuit races, sprint races, and more. At times you you will have access to a range of weaponry, such as homing missiles and proximity mines. There are four difficulty modes, but you need to complete races to unlock tracks. If you fail three times to unlock a particular track, you can buy it instead. There is also a multiplayer mode, allowing you to race with or against your friends.
Hard Rock Racing is not bad, though it's not great. The graphics are pretty average, and having to complete all difficulties in order to unlock a track seems unnecessary. Also the open city feels a bit sterile, due to there being not much going on there. But it's relatively inexpensive and the online multiplayer is a lot of fun.
