Happyville: Quest for Utopia is a tycoon-like game in which you are a new mayor of a city and your ultimate goal is to grow the village you are given into a utopian city, and the key to this is happiness. In every level you will have two types of goals: Primary and Secondary. Primary goals are usually population goals and take a bit more time in planning, while secondary goals are more instant and help you set your way to building the utopia city for your citizens.
Throughout the game you will be asked to build different types of buildings and other things that are necessary to create a city from scratch. These are houses, business, farms, roads, civic buildings, and decorations. You also collect taxes, and the happier the people are with the city the more you will earn off of them in tax revenue. For this reason, it is very important to check the citizens needs and provide them with what they want. The same happens with workers, if you keep them happy, they will work more every day. If you run out of money, you can erase lots that aren't being used for a full refund.
The game offers a fast-paced gameplay in which everything happens like in real time, but if you want to speed things up a bit, you can increase the speed up to three times the normal one. The graphics are excellent and the music is suitable. In short, Happyville: Quest for Utopia is a nice simulation game that offers hours and hours of gameplay and lots of things to do.
