It's a wrapper that allows for easy use of GXSCC on the Mac environment, almost like with any other Mac application. GXSCC is a quite unique MIDI player that supports MID/SMF/RCP formats. It doesn't depend on sound devices and plays with an emulating SCC sound chip, which was once embraced as an external module for Konami's MSX cartridges, like Nemesis II. It follows that all MIDI songs are changed to chiptunes.
