Toolbars are mostly known for their space and time saving purpose, whether they're integrated into a text editing application with necessary tools or within a browser giving you easy access to the websites you like. The second case goes for Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer, a handy built-in utility that might come in handy for users who work with Google search on a daily basis.
I installed the application and, personally, got very disappointed by the fact that it's only available for Internet Explorer, a browser I never get to use. Hopefully, Google will develop a version for other popular browsers like Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
The difference between a simple search on Google website and one using this toolbar is that you can customize your search to get exactly the results you need. This aspect definitely is the main reason why I would give a plus to the application and take advantage of its powerful search function.
As for the rest, Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer brings you configurations and utilities that can be found in other similar toolbars, like buttons customization, pop-up blocker, bookmark option, etc. To conclude, if you're looking for a more accurate Google search, this toolbar could prove to be a smart solution.
